Note from the composer

A man madly in love is doubting his lover’s sincerity through her letters. A full range of emotions are seizing him, from sadness to anxiety and even madness! The challenge of this piece lays in the singer’s ability to quickly switch feelings and mood, like a mad man, while the tempo should represent a fast pounding heart beat from an adrenaline rush.

The last chord can have two endings, that the composer leave to the performer’s choice: it can end in a major chord if they think the mad man finally found peace, or end in a minor chord if the mad man lost hope in despair. The original ending is the latter.

Text

Stormy voices raging inside me
Doubting, frightened, would she leave me?
Empty words are all she wrote,
Thousand miles away from here!

God, my Father, would you please stop me!
Crazy thoughts are seizing me!
Hnt her down, make her only mine forever,
Chain her up!

I gave my heart and gave her my love,
Gave her my song and gave her my hope!
Spent everyday on fanciful feelings,
Would I give it, everything to her unsettled heart is not enough!

She swore to wait and kiss me goodnight,
Talks about lovem needs me by her side!
Asks for cautiousness, tells it’s our secret.
Sounding like so sincere words
But truth is to my heart, well, they might not!

Yet I want to call her…
And tell her I miss her …
Or else, what if…

Dearest heart won’t you set me free,
My soul is imploring!
I do love her! Thousand times I sait it, thousand ways I wrote it!
I do love her but does she loves me?

Should I let her choose with whom to be?
Move away or stay with me?
I will love you as no one will d,
Share your life, yes! Mary you!
If your heart shall love me too,
My torments shall calm down too.
