At a point in my life, many of my friends left the country, seeking better opportunities or better education. Many left family and loved ones behind to only find that wherever they go, they heart is still longing for home.

In this short piece, a man that has found success, pleasure and fame abroad finally decides to come back to his roots where his heart really belongs – to his country and his hometown girl.

There is a girl waiting for me somewhere
She has been writing to me
She told me that she cares,
Spending every hour on a song she wrote
Counting days ’till I’m back home

I always hear the voice of my homeland
Soothing the thrilling pain of my soul
Enlight’ning my dearest dreams
Closing my eyes late at night

So I am going home today
Leaving success and fame!
For my country is forever my beloved one
And to my dear love forever will be my hear!
